Attempt at learning Romanian

My first idea is to translate a book. If I can read a book in Romanian, or even a few pages, that's awesome. So here goes:


The Shadow Rising

Shadow self extends


The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

Roata Timpului se învârtește, Vârstele vin și trec, lăsând în urmă amintiri care devin legendă, apoi se preschimbă în mituri și sunt de mult uitate când Vârsta se întoarce.

Wheel time the turns, Ages come and go, leaving behind memories which become legend, then transform into myths and are of many [years] forgotten when (the) Age returns.

In one Age, called the Third Age by some, and Age yet to come, and Age long past, a wind rose on the great plain called the Caralain Grass.

Într-o Vârstă, numită de unii A Treia Vârstă, o Vârstă care va să vină, o Vârstă de mult trecută, vântul începu să sufle în Munții Dhoom.

In an age, called by some the Third Age, an Age which will to come, an Age of many gone, the wind began to blow in the Dhoom Mountains.

The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was _a_ beginning.

Vântul nu era începutul. Învârtirea Roții Timpului nu are nici început, nici sfârșit. Dar era un început.

The wind not was the beginning. The turning of the Wheel Time no has neither beginning, nor end. But was _a_ beginning.
